Secret Passages Are You In Them

Hot summer day, dry, dusty park, lots of leaves, everybody playing
and having a grand time on the slide and the swing set; ah, it is
hot though, then you see it, the Ice Cream stand. The heat has
made you thirsty, and the dry dust of the playground has made
you even more so. Nothing beats the taste of a cool ice cream
cone on a hot park day. The sweetness, the great chocolate mint
taste, or Pistachio, if you like that (my favorite), takes the
heat and the sand and makes it all, better. The fun the flavor
and the great feeling create something truly wonderful.

The first of anything, usually isn't the best, sometimes
it takes a few practice runs to get things worked out
so that they are, the best. Take for example, your
first kiss, usually ain' all that great, truth be told,
but it's memorable. Kissing gets better as experience
kicks in, lots of things do. Experience is a strange
putting together of life that we lead and life that
we dream about; where the dream matches the times we
had, or, are planning on having.

The best kept secret is, you can have the best,
it is in you at any moment- it is in your heart,
translated by your mind into what your heart wants
to make of your life, let it.

Cellular and Technology – Are You in the Picture?

The picture of cellular is rapidly becoming one of use, maximum use, and best services to you, have you noticed that you are being sought after by lots of brands in their ads? The competition goes at it with big brands such as Motorola, HTC, GE, RIM (Research in Motion) and others weighing in for the fight; you see, while it seems that the technology has arrived and now is mature, it isn't; it is still an infant. What this means to you is that so many good things are coming, that this article will be very helpful, to show you some of them, but also to provide some references and some ideas about what might be best for you.

This is not so much about choice as it is use, choice you might agree, has much to do with use. My daughter asked a friend what they thought of “Droid,” they said the weren't impressed, she asked another friend they said “it's awesome you have to get one,”: she asked someone who we respect in the technology field they said that it is almost as good as an iPhone, and she said ot me, "what does all this mean? Which one should I get?" If you've faced similar thoughts and indecision, then keep reading as how we solved that may help you.

My first question was the obvious one, what do you do most of? She responded, "never thought about it, but I text more than talk I think?" This might be true of you also, so I asked her the next question about that, "do you put pictures into your text?" "No I don't, just text." She had now filled in the blank for use, she needs a phone that does text really well, pictures sometimes, and you can talk on it. For me it's not a question of that, I need to be able to talk, my cell phone would die of malnutrition if texting were eating. So let's recap that point, use is a very large part of what the phone is about.

Does the device work with you? Some phones are just not for your hands, they don't Bluetooth like you want, they aren't setup screen wise the way you like, it's really such a personal decision, and yet, if you haven't thought about these features, they can throw you and you can end up with a phone that you just aren't comfortable with. It's been our expereince, and we believe, the experience of a great many people to look before you leap on that phone.

Now let's talk about the cellular term that everyone knows is a carrot in the deal, upgrades! What an upgrade can mean is wonderful fun, wonderous entertainment, "WOW" as a total overall rating. Yet there is also a side to upgrades that is hidden, has to do with costs, has to do with plans, has to do with networks. If you aren't sure, be certain before you entertain the new member of your family.

Summarizing as a way of concluding our thinking together, the cellular changes are coming fast, they are coming faster than Gordon Moore (author and discoverer of the law which sees technology advancing faster than human thinking) even saw; they are better, sharper, and yet, they can be misleading. The only real rules for caution which seem to fit are, be certain you realize what you are getting into, before you get into it. My sense is to not make the upgrade or purchase without a day or so to think it over, but that's just me being overly cautious, and, having the same Razor for three years, one thing I've discovered about that three year old puppy, it'll still bark when I want it to and it doesn't go to the bathroom on the floor. Something good can be said about that I guess?

Why Mari, Chris and Sean Are Easy 2 Love

First impressions mean something to somebody, but they don't
mean a thing to me- I'm into people for the long haul, NOW,
having said that; if they seem cool, my tendency is to try
and see if they might turn into a style fit for networking?
If you don't know what a "style fit" is (don't worry, odds
are you think you know, guess what, odds are, you don't but
that's no big deal...smile and breathe...:-) ) and a style
fit is very important to your success.

Mari Smith is a wonderful leader, an amazing source of
tremendous knowledge and, Mari has a magnificent sense of
humor which comes out in her methods. She really does
impress me with her style. Mari makes many, MANY; great points
about how to succeed with social media networking, and, did
I mention, Mari has a fantastic sense of humor?

Chris Voss first impressed me when we got crosswired in a bad
mixed up misunderstanding where I got (and this is rare) hot!
I thought that some folks were really runnin' me into the
ground ( sometimes - rarely - but sometimes, that can happen-
and we'll talk about business as war in 3Deep) and I mistook
that Chris was one of them. But here is what impressed me-
this incredible leader, this super courageous guy, who has
a list of multiples of thousands who consider him worth
taking in, called me to make peace. Look I don't care what
you say about successful people, Chris has shown me over time
that he: 1) Really knows his stuff, he knows this technology
and I listen to him about it. 2) Chris isn't afraid to get
very personal, to touch out to people, and that's exactly the
right way to be. 3) Chris has a sense of humor- and it's not
the negative type that the world pushes, it is, cool.

Sean Donahoe - cannot say enough about Sean- he is one of the
gentlemen of the social media business, and Sean bothers to
pay attention to how his people are doing. Sean gets back with
you, not an autoresponder, and even though Sean is in charge of
a network that is vast, international, and full of super charged
energy- Sean will take the time to get back with you, and that
matters huge. As to knowledge, Sean puts out new material in
a very regular fashion, and when he does, I just sit back with
my mouth open in wonder because Sean is so right on, so cutting
edge, but so clear about how to do it. Sean is a truly incredible
leader, a great trend spotter, and a fantastic visionary of the web.

These three, Mari Smith, Chris Voss and Sean Donahoe easily earn
your respect, you really ought to check them out, my personal
guaranty to you, my word to you is, I've checked them out and they
are rock solid to the person, honest to the extreme, they are
the real "stuff" that will help you in social media networking.
My task with you is even more intense, but this article isn't to
talk about drd4u, and 3Deep, those will come with time for you,
this article is to talk about these wonderful individuals who
contribute so much to the business of social media networking
and to your success as you join us. To say that Mari Smith,
Chris Voss and Sean Donahoe are leaders is true, to say that
they are inspiration at it's finest, is my personal note to you.

And on the cutting edge as we have promised...3Deep is getting
done and we are checking out a presenter named Shawna Schuh -
Shawna seems to have it together on YouTube, and I've watched
some of her presentations they are excellent.

As always - more to come...

The View from TED

Always wanting my Morningside folks to be in on the latest
and greatest thinking, don't let TED get past you, it's the
best in the world, sharing what they have experienced. What
can a Christian bring to such? Paul would say that we are
obligated to represent our thinking in with the thinking that
seemingly eclipses ours, which we know, cannot be, for it is
of God and His Christ, ergo, we must, first, grasp what it
is that they are saying, in other words, don't be intimidated
out of learning from them, and then, when we see where it is
far away from the truth of God; help steer them back to the
truth which we know is God. So with that in mind, let's check
out this challenge and see what it might bring our way:

We have much to share on this, so, don't stay silent and shy,
dig in, leave a comment, let your voice and soul be expressed
so that everyone can learn and grow together.

Now- the absolute - Now

You may have heard of the 80/20 rule- it gained popularity
some years back when Stephen R. Covey wrote his masterwork
"7 Habits of Highly Effective People," mentioning the way
that this works out. 20% of the people are the ones who
generate growth, possess wealth, and basically are in charge,
the 80% are the observing grumbling sideline type who aren't.
You are reading this, let's presume you are at least headed,
toward the 20%, if you aren't already there. Which means
that this opportunity would be one you would cherish:

Here are the benefits, first, a bestseller is in the offing,
just the title alone as been number one on Google since December
of last year, and you, should you choose to become one of the
supportive types; would get a signed copy, hot off the press.
First come, first serve. Not only that, but, as soon as you
choose to become a supporter, you can gain access to monstrous
amounts of training valued at over 1900 dollars with folks who
have taught me so much. Aren't they cool to make such offers?

In the mix also is this little tidbit basket, behind every person
who generates something extremely wise and observant, like our buddy
Pareto (the author of the study) the statistician; we can all learn
from the 2 of 10 times that a tidbit comes out, such as this from
the wonderful work by Jack Canfield - "Success Principles":
"The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery
that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of
their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives."
-William James Harvard psychologist (Canfield- pg. 187)

Why - and- Why Now?

If you read success materials, and I try to, and hope you do;
you usually see some inspirational item about starting, or,
doing it now? Have you read such? Do you usually feel like
that's right? You should start now, and, sometimes you even
are in the midst of doing something? So it's a good feeling but
an odd feeling, since you are already in the process? Can you
identify with that? This brief set of thoughts comes from a
deeper and more extensive work called "keyhole success," which
is due out soon; my hope is that you will find it useful and
also, truthful and even helpful. My sense is if you read this
and smile, that's fantastic, if you read this and smile deeply
and warmly, shucks, you might donate some bucks to keep me
eating, and if you read this, smile deeply and warmly and share
this with some others...WOW...who knows what could happen?

Why, is a challenge for us at all times, in my youth it was how
my mom let me know she was in charge, "Why!" got met with, "Because
I said so!" Which might have been followed with - a sound effect,
how about, THWACK! Remember such, wow, those are warm memories.
Why is a challenge for us at all times, as teenagers our dates
are usually wondering, "Why are we going there..." My hope is
that there is a good reason, my fear is that frequently the
reason may appear good but it isn't? Why moves up in intensity
as a challenge to us at all times, as adults we begin to want
to earnestly explain the need, to explain and even comply with
the urgency of a given task that requires the question, why?
Why is so good for us, that it is often not wanted; we just
don't want to hear it, ever experience that, and yet, just as
surely as we feel that way, what comes at us? Ah my, someone
invariably will ask, "why?"

Many times we don't know, why- and so at that moment we go
into the next phase, which is, now, why now? We feel like
it would be better, and certainly better for us, if we didn't
have to deal with it right now? Ever feel that way? If you
have, consider what follows, it's meant as a compliment.
Every person knows what makes them happy, they just sometimes
forget to recall it. Let's focus on that for one second more,
every person, knows what makes them happy, they just sometimes
forget it, or forget to recall it. Here's the point in picture
form; chocolate makes me happy, it's known to do that; heard
there is actually a certain chemical in it that does help
lighten a heavy mood- were that true, it makes sense because
chocolate makes me happy. Especially good chocolate, the sort
that has no heavy after eating twang, but has a nice, smooth,
warming glow to it. Know the stuff? Usually sold at a
specialty shop, usually costs a bit more than the typical
candy isle stuff, but usually it is also worth it, would you
say? When my mood is really not where it should be, if
there is some of the chocolate around, my mood can get better.
You may have something that has a similar effect on you,
hopefully without the calories? Now comes the fact of this,
in the past, when something important involving my personality
would be in the mix, if my mood weren't exactly fantastic,
it hadn't occurred to me to eat chocolate, today it surely
has, and does. The result? Better results, why, more smiles-
and why now, because the new smiles are needed.

Curious about the step that makes the difference, curious
about why? Curious about why now? Fantastic, leave your
comments and your questions and the author will get back to you.

Knowing Who

In the brick and mortar world of business you get to meet
folks and see their body language, facial expressions,
how they dress, how they handle themselves, how they present
themselves in a group or personal environ. Those are
great keys to behavior and trust and sales. Those physical
keys are lacking on the web where physical is mixed with
virtual making the outcome less certain through email
than a smile across the table. Thus in the world of
virtual there are some things which a person ought to
get out in the open early in the process of making business
deals, one of these is, who you are dealing with.

Who you are dealing with, is more than a title, titles
are, in the virtual world, easy to come by, and tend to
be functionally defined. A Vice-President of marketing
may be one of hundreds spread out all over the globe; with
no power, finances or clout to carry out contracts or
negotiations. This differs drastically from the brick
and mortar world where Vice-President's of banks and
other transacting businesses are empowered and have the
ability to affect financing. First aspect of establishing
the "who" process then, might be looked at as, don't pay
attention to the title, instead, test out the title of the
person, can they do, that their title suggests? How
is that to be determined? Can they enact contracts? Make
payments, and transact business? This is easy to determine
from many different sources, almost without fail, if a
person can transact contracts they have the credit line and
use of card to ensure such; so it is easy to verify that
they do. What if they don't have such? Then it becomes a
bit trickier, but still can be determined, if you are looking
at a large business transaction and you want to be sure
as to who you are dealing with, why would it offend them to
ask to see a copy of the articles of incorporation for their
business? Almost every business has such, and I can guaranty
you that a person who is genuine about who and what they
are won't have a problem reflecting such to you.

If we can't depend upon the title to key us as to the
vitality of the person we are dealing with, what can we
use? In some sense the vernacular, the method employed in
their communication can tell you a great deal about a
person. What sort of language do they employ? Do they
seem to be in command of good faculties in terms of projects
and completions? Are they timely- when they tell you
they are going to be getting back with you, do they? Do
you sense in the dynamics of their web presence, which
is their web site, a trustworthy feeling? Do they
give the impression of having the same sets of values
toward the transaction or communication that you do?

There are deeper and more lasting items of a person
that you cannot always access in a virtual way. Where
a person comes from, their upbringing, their education,
their belief system, their way to taking care of things,
these are all items that we like to gather in person which
in a virtual way may not be as easy to obtain, and in
the speed of the virtual transaction, they may not be
necessary. We should also interject a note of caution
here as to the degree of the transaction being considered.
A minor purchase requires little consideration, whereas,
when one is contemplating a major transaction, larger
in scope, having the ability to gather more realistic
data can be important, if not, essential.

Is it possible to separate who a person is from their
gender? We live in an age where gender is diminished as
to it's importance, other than, to indicate only that their
exists a difference between male and female- yet, in an
age where the lines which marked the distinction of gender
are becoming increasingly blurred, in the virtual world,
the distinction must be understood. Non gender specific
names are important to bring on the question "pardon me
for asking but are you male or female?" You may get a
response about any number of things, from, the item
requested, to, "none of your business." At this point
in the transaction, you have to decide, is this a person
that you are comfortable dealing with? Also bear in
mind that because gender confusion is present in the
virtual world, men can be presumed to be female, and
vice-versa; so ti is best where it is possible to try and
determine which gender you are dealing with; especially
if you are handling a gender sensitive issue. It is not
easy to add this to the conversational line, and
frequently forms on the web which are filled out will
include the question as to male or female, when moving
into that process, it makes sense to make sure that
is filled out on your inquiry form, and it makes the
further conversations easier when it comes to this
very important item.

We've looked at the defining characteristics of a person
online from the standpoint of what they do, whether they
are effective in getting back to you, if they appear to
have the ability to complete the transaction, and letting
the nature of the transaction being contemplated determine
the depth of background type information that we would
gather. We've also brought to light the difficulty of
gender in the virtual world and that it is important if
it can be determined but that finding out the gender of
a person is not an easy thing to do- the old saying is
that one should employ the "Porcupine principal" in this
endeavor. That is to say, "how to Porcupines make love?"
Very carefully. In all virtual transactions the nice
elements of the physical are missing for the logic and
sense of the dealing must be heightened accordingly. The
speed and ease of use for communications of email and
blogs and chat sessions must be considered in light of
the topics within this realm of who we are dealing with.
If you have specific questions regarding this please make
use of the comments section following this article.

It Makes Sense

As you are working on your network of contacts and people
that you communicate with; doesn't it also make sense to not
only enjoy the time you get to spend with them, but also to
use the technology to help you with the process? It is in the
using of the technology that we want to ask you if it doesn't
make good sense to keep track of things that matter to your
network connections.

We often speak of who, what, when, where, why/how as
the five W's of effective communications and networks, so that
who is involved, what and when they are involved and where
they are involved from, are all worth noting. When you can
note particulars about people and use the system to keep track
of those types of information, you can help those people feel
that you are connected to their lives. Such connection helps
them feel an interest in your behalf. By using the system you
can effectively help others with such effects. An example of
this is the birthday note which arrives in the email. While
most people aren't that excited about it, my sense is that it
is nice to receive a note saying "happy birthday."

If you've received such a note, maybe you'd like to contribute
to the overall learning of this group by saying if it was a good
experience? Hard to imagine it not being good? Until the
next get together, in a few days, let's think about how we
might use the technology we have to secure good stuff to
share with others...

Gripped (B10MOYL) ! Uh huh...

The bottle was falling - as fast as I could,
with every bit of strength I could muster,
I had to stop it. Grabbed for it, needed to
grip it- sure didn't want Ketchup all over
the floor! Been there? Milk's pretty rough
too- have you heard the old cliche' about
spilled milk? Well, why not cry over it?

The fear that is in that moment can't last
because either, the bottle will be gripped
by your hand, or the floor? Hmm...before
you have time to contemplate it, you're
into the next, NEXT- a very interesting
place to be. I remember the Colonel I call
him; he had a car had the license plate
on it said, NEXT; it was a half Cadillac
and half Rolls Royce; guy was so wealthy
he had a Rolls chopped in half and somehow
a Cadillac front end was put on that
pup, he said he liked the Caddilac
transmission, but the ride of Rolls was
one of kind? That was one bizzare looking
car- but- that license plate, wow- that
was what stuck in my head, because he
explained it as a theory to life- NEXT!

He said, some will, some won't, so what?
NEXT. He said if some wanted to follow,
great, next, if some didn't, great, next,
if somebody wanted to do something, great,
next...he was always onto; next.

Without realizing it, he had put me onto a
course of HOPE- you see, hope is...NEXT!
I believe in next- a lot of people around me
don't believe in next- they see what they
see as where they are, and they base what they
believe they are going into upon that, so
strongly, that they aren't ready for NEXT-
even though it just might happen to them?
What about the person who goes to work
every day believing they are going to
experience the same ol' mess? They really
believe that- they really do- so they
don't say, "I love you," to people they
love, they really do, they just don't say
it, because they don't believe anything is
going to be different, they believe it is
all going to remain the same...but ever since
that night when the Colonel explained that
license plate to me, life has been a steady
series of, NEXT- so I always try to let folks
know I love them; as a way of getting ready
for NEXT! You see, we are never ready for
disaster- not really- just as we are never
really ready for, success, not really. We
would like to think we are, but the truth
is, we aren't- because we never really
know, and we can't really, what is- NEXT!

So now the question becomes, what will you do with what you know?

A Hoot - Sometimes we need it...

This came to me via email...
it was forwarded to me...if you'd like to
feel free to forward it out...

God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel, found him, resting on the seventh day..

He inquired, "Where have you been?"

God smiled deeply and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael. Look what I've made."

Archangel Michael looked puzzled, and said, "What is it?"

"It's a planet," replied God, and I've put life on it.. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a place to test Balance."

"Balance?" inquired Michael, "I'm still confused."

God explained, pointing to different parts of Earth. "For example, northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while southern Europe is going to be poor.
Over here I've placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people. Balance in all things."

God continued pointing to different countries. "This one will be
extremely hot, while this one will be very cold and covered in ice."

The Archangel , impressed by God's work, then pointed to a land area and said, "What's that one?"

"That's the Commonwealth of Virginia , the most glorious place on earth. here are beautiful mountains, rivers and streams, lakes, forests, hills, beaches, and plains. The people from the Commonwealth of Virginia are going to be handsome,
modest, intelligent, and humorous, and they are going to travel the world. They will be extremely sociable, hardworking, high achieving, carriers of peace, and producers of good things."

Michael gasped in wonder and admiration, but then asked, "But what about balance, God? You said there would be balance..."

God smiled, "Right next to Virginia is Washington DC . Wait till you see the idiots I put there."

The Thrill Later

Just finished watching a movie that
by design wants you the watcher to
go, "wow"; only, it goes into
overdrive on the "gotcha", just a
tad tiny bit. Ever have that happen?
I say that I remember my first kiss,
in some sense that is true, her name
was Rhonda, and somewhere in the
2nd grade in Torrance California,
somehow I managed to kiss her- don't
ask me how, that was over forty
years ago (being kind to myself
on the age factor here) but this I
remember, all the hype that people
around me put on that first kiss-
it just weren't so.

Back in the days when we still wrote
computer programs (I know some still
do, and do an excellent job of it)
instead of copying off on already put
together systems; someone took the
time and effort to teach me some
programming in UNIX, which is
essentially C programming by any
other name. Wow was I ever proud
of that first program; but the
thing about it is, now, nearly
twenty five years later, it's
practically useless in a video
social networking age.

Put those two salient points together-
they intersect at a place called
speedy change. Many years ago one of
my favorite drummers, Buddy Miles,
did a song cover on "Them Changes."

A place called speedy changes - we're there.

So the question is, are you capable of keeping
pace with it, or is the speed of these changes
going to do you in? My sense is that you
either get on this train, or it runs you
over? And given a choice between seeing
things through the eyes of change, or having
rail marks all over my backside, hey,
I'll take the changes, what about you?

Suppose Its True About You?

One of the most difficult circumstances to
contemplate is the circle of life. We all
know that this exists, we sense it, at some
place deep inside our souls, we know that
there is something about us that does
matter, we just know it.

One of the reasons that this is difficult
for us to deal with is it means we have
a responsibility to life, to our life,
to the lives of others, to do what we
can to make the life we lead, better.

We do what we can, while it seems that
often, others don't. Therein lies the
challenge, we have to see past those
who present themselves as an obstacle,
we have to move to a point where what
they do not do, does not become what
we participate in.

What we are working on, both in
"keyhole success" which uses the
acrostic to spell out five chapters
of awesome material on manifesting
success in a concrete fashion; and
in 3Deep, which moves the process of
"keyhole success" into the actual
day to day of your achieving a
level of success that you can enjoy;
what we are working on, is AXIOM-
and our promise to you is that in
that simple term AXIOM, you will
discover a richness and a wealth
of material that is totally
interactive in a way that has been
missing from so many very fine
efforts that are two dimensional in
their approach. AXIOM is designed
to delve into media, especially social
based media, and take the principles
that are discovered in "keyhole success",
and made useful in 3Deep so that they
will become clear and achievable to you.
So here then is a hint of the principle which
begins AXIOM - Acting.

Sounds simple enough doesn't it, acting.
This is that instance that you have heard
described as being deceptively simple,
you see, acting, as Shakespeare pointed
out, is world creating, world maintaining,
and world moving. Acting is what you and
I and everyone else, participates in, to
the degree that we are able to achieve
acting that is guided, to that degree
we will be spoken of and remembered as,
a success. Sounds simple but in reality,
acting isn't simple at all.

My friends, my wonderful followers and
readers, my promise to you as we begin
to delve into AXIOM is that when you
decide to commit to the guidance and allow
yourself to grow, you will find these
principles doing for you what you have
only dreampt of.

Yes - WAY different than - NO

Michael Korda wrote about power, in his writings he talked about how powerful the term "NO" is. While reading that, so many years ago, to this day my memory feels the outright awe of how much that statement made me contemplate the power of "YES" which was Korda's ultimate goal in teaching.

Perhaps you've not thought of yourself as a communicating dynamo? Maybe you have overlooked the obvious, and it's obvious power? In your lifetime, if you get in on the electronic revolution; you will communicate to more people than anyone ever believed possible. In your lifetime, if you get in on it, you will become a T.V. type personality, from the relative location of your choosing...check this one out:

It is way more than angst- it is way more than we actually feel comfortable dealing with, for the simple truth is; we have a freedom here to express our ideas, and if those ideas prove to be useful, fun, fulfilling, or even, worth peoples while; then they will go out into the ether and grow contacts by the millions - to see a proof of this check out the "Obama girls" where they came from and what happened to them as a result of their idea! NOW...stick with me, invite yer friends, join us on MySpace and FaceBook and I guarantee, something you will rarely hear me do...but I guarantee you, you'll get an enormous bang(!) for your buck!
Luv to ya..drd4u.com

It is worth it...is it worth it

One is a statement of worth,
one is a question of worth.
Worth it is what drives us,
it is what we want, it is
what we believe we must
have, and yet, worth is also
what we perceive. There is this
strange attraction to things,
for some odd reason, we
desire most strongly those
things which we believe we
can't have? Has this been
your experience?

Now the question becomes, what is
this that we value? A dear lady
that is really becoming quite the
involved spokesperson, has written
a marvelous set of descriptions about
the plight of those we find ourselves
occasionally guilty of ignoring.

She makes it easy to love the
truth, and makes it easy to
see why so many people love her.

Whole New Nightmare

You've probably seen or read about,
those experiments with mice,
where they overcrowd? It presents
the scenario as to the dangers
of not enough resources and too
many people. But what would
you say, if this writer were
to say, that's probably not the
ultimate nightmare? "Oh great, so
you're just playin' with our heads,
is that it, your just takin' us
down that proverbial road? Do you
really think that's fair to a reader?"

No- you need to know this...so, here
it is, the ultimate nightmare:

NOT - just playin' with ya...

What do you think the ultimate nightmare is?

In Time...Just...In Time

You have, no doubt, heard of the manufacturing term, just in time, which means that things are made just as they are due to be shipped; there is no large scale warehousing of merchandise or parts. Sounds good and the idea behind it sounds good but as you probably know, sounding good and being good, may not be such. So there is a dichotomy of need and demand being met, versus, saying it will be met, when it is not. In so many situations, we've become used to it and here is how (These are only very short examples for this writing, there are many, many more...). You pull into a McDonalds drive-thru where the understanding is a three to five minute wait, but it can be longer, can't it? We go into a SuperCenter, (not a bigger store with grocery shopping included, no, it's a SuperCenter) and there are thirty or more checkout lines, including perhaps ten or more which are self service; the expectation is a quick check out, only, we all know, it can be, but usually, isn't, is it? The point is, we've become used to having expectations set for us, that aren't met. Just in time, it has become a mindset, and not just in the U.S., it has become a mindset in the world.
What happens next is straight out of the textbook on Pavlov and reinforced negative behavior- let dog in, ring bell, show food, dog salivates, dog eats; let dog in again, same process, then let dog in ring bell, no food, dog still salivates- why? Dog expects food, it is the expectation, it has been, in effect trained to behave in a certain way. Say food will be ready in five minutes (McDonalds), it can be, the expectation is that it will be, what happens when it is not? Are we being trained, to adjust to a negatively reinforced behavior set, and the question would be, who is the trainer?
Christian's want to strain at this situation and insist that it has to be God or the Devil. If anyone asks the honest question about whether that's real or not, they are viewed by those Christian's as nuts. From such a mix eliminating set of outlooks, how can we expect those Christian's to grow and develop healthy and enlightened outlooks, or, is the real desire to have Christian's without healthy and enlightened outlooks? Caution is certainly warranted here- my suggestion is that if we aren't careful we will do to the body of Christ what used to be done to mental patients who weren't behaving as they were expected to.
Finally comes the question about how we are as Christian's - because most of us don't warehouse our belief, do we? We want to deliver it, just in time. Problem is, this belief in God doesn't lend itself to that, does it? What do you think God says about such?
Luk 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Better and Better

This is a transpost, which may not mean a whole lot to you, but it is being written from my browser, not a special program. The browser for the internet, called iGoogle, is a trademarked device that interacts with all my messenger services for social media, all at one time. This makes it possible for me to post this blog wherever I can access a computer and an internet connection. This is one of the advances that are now part of what is called Web 2.0, which is changing the world. The world as you knew it is changed forever, you can believe that, just as you can believe that there are now several forms of cancer which are cured, there is sight being restored to those who are blind via mechanisms of technology, and hearing is being restored. Limbs which are prosthetic are intelligent and capable of interacting with the user. It is an age unlike anything that has existed ever, and you are here to see it. Now tell me once again that you don't think there is anything to creator God? How can people see the world that is coming and in fact is here as we speak, and not be cognizant of the fact that it isn't just a matter of any cosmic chance whatsoever. God is in this world making things happen. By faith I look as did the believers of old that are spoken of in Hebrews in the New Testament: Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Alot to offer

Sometimes we want to spend a lot of time thinking things over. For example, people will ask me to tell them about me, but really, what can you say, I've gone to school for sixteen years of getting into books? Only to see the fictionalized plot imagined out in a movie, "Knowing" Which, while it has a lot to offer, offers hope in a varied form. Hope in my opinion is what separates us as people, and it seems to me that perhaps hope is a lot to offer?
Thousands of books, five books a week for over 27 years? Hmm...would that be right, let's see, 5X52X27= 7020; yup, that's thousands of books, and the funny part is, only two of the five per week were for entertainment, like Robert B. Parker's Spenser series, those I love to read. The other three per week were educational or schoolastic in nature, such as statistics, algebra, how to market, how to write, law, business law (McMillan's 6th Ed. on Bus Law let me contribute); and others, were all designed to help me learn to write really fine reports. Throughout three degrees beyond high school, all my efforts have been toward learning to help to communicate to others those things that really matter. So my sense is that sometimes we find varied sources that really have a lot to offer, and maybe, just maybe, we should take advantage of that? Lately I've been wondering about that...so, while you please comment on this one, consider this:

Oh It's All New Al'Right

Wow, wow and double wow, my friends on Twitter and the other social networks are saving my bacon. Folks we have been in places that really nobody ought to go, not bad places, per se', just places where you aren't really yourself. Thanks to the social networking crew, hard working folks like Sean Donahoe, Perry Belcher, Mari Smith and countless others, Jennifer Mclean, who has the "Bog Book Of You" and just good people all the way around, we might just make it through this desert to the water on the other side. Thank you, thank you, thank you. DrD

Wow what a ride
