much worse than an economic
downturn.  Yet, what's really going

 Quick and true story, friend of mine was buying a new car, the dealer
said they were making her a tremendous deal on the car,
note that term "tremendous," it's a sales term designed
to put you in the mood to buy by feeling like
the person talking with you is "really a great person,
they are really doing something great for me."

 Truth is, that usually is somewhat true,
but usually, that is a way of saying something
to make you feel something.
 She was given a price, she wrote to us, we asked,
"what's the blue book value on the car?"
 She said she hadn't looked;
how many people don't?

 It is important because that value is what you
could resell the car for at standard
retail price, SRP,were such to become necessary.
So the closer that you get to that price,
the better the real deal

actually is. Then we asked her
if she'd run it past car fax,
she said "no, haven't looked there."
 We let her know that car fax is free-
all you need is the vehicle identification number
located on the front left under the windshield or
on the far right under the windshield, or just
under the hood to the drivers side, VIN's
are located in different places, but here
is the important thing, if the dealer can't get
you that- call halt, you need to see
what the car fax report has to say.
