Christmas Money Helper!

When you find somebody who is successful
and they're making it work- you don't mind
sharing with folks how spectacular they are-

to listen to Layne (kneeling front center) and

BEING THANKFUL IS...

Made much easier because you are a part of 
our DrD family.  It's true- just like the title says:
Being thankful is made easier because you are

Being grateful is even easier than being thankful,
because with friends like we have, we 
are so much surrounded by so many 

amazing and talented and warm spirited
people that it makes us sad for those
who don't have that blessing.  

So our prayer for you on Thanksgiving
is that you'll feel the same sense of being
thankful and blessed and grateful- and
that your day will be memorable.  That

FLOOD the AIRWAVES

Folks have forgotten about the power of the quick
call in vote?  Shows still use it, don't they?  They
say, "if you want to vote for ...call..." they'd give
you a number, you'd call in, and you'd feel like
your vote was counting, right?  If you were
really a rabid fan of one of the stars, you
might call friends to call in as well- we had
a friend call us to vote one time.  So it makes
sense, doesn't it, that Facebook has come
along with a way for folks to vote for who
they think is best.  Now you think I'm talking
about the super easy "Like" button, only,
I'm not, that's too easy, this is a bit more

You Used To Be

Those shaky feelings in the pit 
of your stomach-know what 
I'm talkin' about?  When the wind
that is blowin' - is blowin' you away?  
You feel strangely detached, 
you're in the show, but you just 
aren't real sure how?  Know
that feelin'?  Sometimes it 
comes on the heels of something heavy, sometimes not- but most of the time, 
isn't what happens to you pretty heavy?  
So those shaky
feelings in the pit of your stomach, they
might be, your wings comin' on?  Yeah,
maybe that's what that's all about, ever
wonder about shaky feelings much?  We
were hangin' off a cliff, there wasn't any
rope, there weren't any of those things you
stick in the rock to put a line in, it was our
hands, and the space below, some folks
would call that "a rush," yeah, for me it
was a shaky feeling in my stomach...


When Tom Petty sings about "learning to
fly," it has a whole new meaning to me.




But this writing is about you, not me,
it's about what you do, not what we
don't; so let's get to it.  You may not
really believe all that stuff they tell
you about how excellent you are, and
that's O.K., it's good to stay a bit on
the humble side; but the truth, well
we usually don't see that, do we, and
when it comes to us, well, we see what
we want to see.  So what we're sayin'
is - see yourself as you see you, and
then take into account what they say
you are - put them into a complete
colorful picture, and then, decide if
what they're sayin' is real to you.  Try
that for a while, cause one thing we
know for sure, if you listen to everyone
else, and you ignore your inner talk,
before you know it, you won't know you.


See in my mind, you used to be fun,
you used to match my joy with your joy,
and between the two of us, we kicked
up some fuss that was amazing.  You
used to be, so what happened?  What
happened to that care free person that
ran alongside me in the rain?  Where we
looked at each other, and laughed because
we knew it was nuts to run in the rain,
but it felt so good, so full, so much,
love.  Wasn't that love?  You used to be
the person who found those times,
where'd you go?  What happened that
you became another person?  You used
to not even think about it, you just
did stuff that brought joy, and then
you let me bring you joy, and now,
where'd the joy run off to?


If you get these things - then you are
well on the way to having your emotional
life move up a level, why not take that
emotional power and put it to use for
you in ways you may never have 
thought possible?

NOT ME...

Security Don't Mean 
What It Used To...

My best friend, you'd think they'd love the same
things I love, go the same places I go, right?
Nope, in fact, we aren't anything alike, which
is why we're fast friends,
best friends, we are the
other persons wish list, I think?
Ever been in a relationship like that?
You know each other
so well that you pick up,
right where you left
off, and it doesn't matter
how long it's been
since you've seen or talked,
it just feels right?
It's the best of everything rolled into one.
But my best friend can't stand social media.
Can't stand Facebook and doesn't do it.
"I don't do Facebook."
"Well why not, it's cool, it lets you..."
"I don't care, don't ask me about it,
I don't do it..."

Something tells me that my buddy has
formed an opinion that doesn't fit into
my socket- at all, and they are missing
the wealth of "stuff," that my broad and
wide range friends contribute to my life.
Do they miss it, probably not, but would
it enrich their lives, probably so.

So today we want to share briefly about
the security of Facebook and how you
can actually control who sees what is
on your pages.  "Wow Dana that's been
covered by the experts, why are you
doin' it again?"  Simply put, it's because

many times, my friends aren't even aware
of them- so they don't get the benefit of
their teachings, and I don't want my
friends to miss out.  Plus many of the
people that I know are just a little
leery of public viewing of their stuff;
maybe that's you?

Security Hasn't Changed Much- But
Things Have Changed A Lot

When Facebook first announced that
it was going to change the way that
postings were viewed, it caused some
turmoil.  What I love to think about is
how folks reacted to the "new fangled"
digital phones, without a rotary dial?

You may not remember, but phones
used to be black, that was the only color
out, AND, they had a rotary dial, is how
the numbers got punched into the
analog system. It was just slightly better
than two cans and string, but it got us
talking over distances.  Over time the
digital devices came into being, but
just as today, on the Facebook timeline
some folks fuss, back then, they fussed
about the new phones.  Those same
folks, by the way, today, wouldn't be
caught dead without their "smart phone."
Just shows "ya" that some folks will fuss
no matter how small the change.

Facebook didn't originate with us oldsters
though, it originated with the college age
folks, and went into the younger than college
folks, before it migrated up the age ladder-
and, that's how change is done now- in our

present age, it starts with children watching
ads on Saturday morning while mom and
sometimes, dad, sleep.  Those cartoons are
fine tuned to attract the market.  From such
behavior it is just natural for them to take
to the new technology which is digital, and
the smart phone puts a computer in their
hand, and it tells them how to use it.  So the
Facebook generation is now fully mobile,
an interesting concept in and of itself.

Chapter Six - Ultimate Fear

The rocker Peter Gabriel talked about "your eyes," and
what I saw in Madeline's made me feel cold.  She was
terrified, and the whoosh, the jet; strafed us again.
"Chuck look at how it's going..."
I'd pulled off to the side of the road.
"It is making turns that a jet can't make, at least
no pilot I know."
"So," I had a pinch in my voice, "you're saying it's
a drone?"
Drones weren't new science, but I'd always thought
they were small, this jet was not small.
"Not exactly a drone, it's different, look how it's
behaving toward us."
Now I felt creepy, what would we have to do with
anything, we weren't big time, we were small town?
"No look Chuck, it's hovering as you pull over."
This wasn't making any sense, why would anyone
care what we were doing?
"Look Madeline, if you know some reason about
this, why don't you share?"
There it hung, apparently, she was debating what
to say?  I turned to her, looked at her expression
as she stared out the window, then she said this
amazing thing.

“Want to tell me something Madeline?”

She was scared, that was obvious, but

what she was scared of she’d have to tell

me.  Her eyes had real fear in them.  I

followed her eyes and saw it- disappear.

“No way…” Wasn’t I the brilliant conversationalist?

Then it thundered over the car again, rocking

the car with its intense whoosh.

“Chuck you may be in something that we

shouldn’t have gotten you into.”  Her voice

had a scared but distant quality as if she was

both afraid and pondering her fears?

“So from what you’re saying you know

what this is?”  I felt, more than knew that we

were actually OK, if it had intended to take

us out, we couldn’t stop that, so, we were

at the mercy of something we couldn’t do

a thing about, might as well be pleasant.

There was no whoosh from a turn around,

I didn’t see anything in the sky, and so, it

seemed to me to be smart to move.  I

put the car in gear, she yelped it out,

“Stop, don’t move the car.”

“What possible,”

“I don’t know, but it does, it somehow

uses that we think.”

“We?”

“There are a group of us who are trying

to figure out what we are dealing with,”

“a group?”

“Yes- and we’ve been watching you for a

while,”

“watching me?”  This was getting even

creepier, as if that was possible amidst

disappearing jets and fright?

“Give it a while, it will get bored, or whatever

it gets, and it will reappear, then move off,

we’ve seen this pattern for some time.  People

have reported it as UFO’s, only it’s not, it’s

not anything we understand, but it’s not

unidentified, it is, they are, being used.”

“Oh, now that makes sense, used by who

for what?  I’ve got to admit you are sounding

a bit nutty here,”

“We thought so too the first time we actually

looked at all the data was two years back, before

then the systems to analyze such big pictures

weren’t on hand, but now they are, and it

reveals some very interesting large scale scenes

that taken one at a time actually seem like aliens

visiting us and stuff like that, but when you look

at them from this much larger scale, chaos math,

actually- well, the picture gets much clearer as to

what may be happening.”

“Obviously you’ve thought about it and want to

tell me, do we have to hear this here, I feel a little

exposed?”

“That’s the point, this doesn’t think like we do, but

it does think; and as long as we are sitting here,

it won’t take as much notice of us, we’re still

an object of interest, like a child will pick up a block

and look at it, maybe move it, put it on another block,

then, grow tired of it, and sit it aside?  Well, right

now, lets hope it’s sitting us aside.”

“You keep saying it, what is it?”

“It is not what it appears to be, and it never is.

Imagine a Pawn, it’s the least powerful piece on

the board, yet, when put into place, operating

together, if you position the group of Pawn’s

together, a situation can be brought about where

on the very next move of the Pawn, no matter what

move you make, it will be checkmate- from the Pawn.

Now it appears to be a Pawn, not, the most powerful

piece on the board, but at that moment, it becomes

the most powerful piece on the board.  It is a Pawn-

what makes it so powerful is the combined front.”

Now I knew she was tripping and I wasn’t far behind.

The Volunteers Delight!

    Here we go - all the reasons why with you this will work
and why, without you, it won't.  First off, what are you
getting into - helping a community that needs help- how
you like that- folks who need help who ask for help and
leave out all the hype.  People who, believe it or not, are
in this community making choices between having food
or having life preserving drugs- they are here, right under
our noses, only, we don't see them- because they; like
many, would rather not have it known- they've lived many
productive years, and now, in the last portions of their
life here, they don't feel like being embarrassed by
others knowing they simply cannot afford to live- how
would you like to be able to help someone like that?

    Who are we helping, how about young people, the
most under represented group on the planet, they have
no political power- no representation, and yet, their
future is debated every single day- do they need to
have some say in what that future will be, don't you
think so?  Who we will be helping, how about the
people who can work, but for whom no work is
available because it's gone, somewhere else- we will
be helping them to not only find work, but do the
jobs that they get paid to do, we will literally be
involved in making companies happen.  Who we
will help, how about those who have reached the
end of their rope- only, they don't know who to
call, who to reach out to, or even if anyone would
care if they were at the end of their rope- we will
find them, we will help them.  "Well," you might
think, "sounds like Utopia, the church, something
that everybody always talks about but then doesn't
do anything about."  Sound familiar(?)- well, we're
going to get into the mix for them- and you, will
make that possible- they need you, we need you.

    We hear from the media, main stream media lets
say and from the government spokespeople, on
occasion; and from many others, that this country
has become selfish, uncaring, unloving and that
people no longer care about people- I think that's
a lie- I think people do care about people- care
about the lives around them, aren't selfish, but
are tired of being taken advantage of, aren't
uncaring but do have to be cautious because
any time the economy gets a little tight it
squirts out the scam artists- but I believe in you;
and I believe you care and will want to help
some folks who are trying to help themselves
but are just not able- I believe you'll help.

    Having said that, prove me right, take the
moments that it will take to make the calls that
need to get made.  Volunteer to call someone
that needs to hear a voice, or, volunteer to call
someone who needs to get contacted about
what is needed, whether it be a Congressman,
Senator, or even the White House, and listen
to the leader of this group when that call is
explained, and then, just make it- just make
it happen because you can, prove that we do
care, we are caring and we won't stop just
because someone who has a jaded opinion
of what we do to help others, says we are
what they believe we are, instead of what we
really are, which is great people in a very
tough time, who can and will help- won't
you do it, won't you help?

    What's in it for you- you will not believe
all the good that is going to come your way,
so, I'm not going to laundry list it, but lets put
it this way- when it comes to helpers helping
because they want to- we believe they will
get more out of that than anyone would
believe, but we also know something that is
pretty spectacular and real which will come
their way- so - volunteer because you are ready
to help- but get ready, because the truth is-
when you help- you will be amazed at how
that is going to help you.
